Overview
This supervisor partners with the other delivery supervisors to coordinate route delivery assistance utilizing route delivery helpers. Prepares all Daily Morning paperwork for Delivery support team on a timely basis. Responsible for scheduling and routing all delivery helpers, assisting with route inventory issues on each truck, and dispatching support personal after primary duties are completed. Responsible, along with the Transportation team for the entire demand performance of the delivery department which includes supervision of all Route Drivers, Support Drivers, Driver Helpers, and any contract labor assigned to the Transportation Department.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with Driver helpers on a predetermined plan, agreed upon with direct supervisor, a minimum of one full day per week in the field, training and assisting Delivery Department on Glazer’s delivery policies.
• Support Transportation Manager with these key duties:
• Personal involvement in resolving discrepancies issued to Delivery personnel by the Cashier Department, andfollow upon all complaints relating to delivery personnel
• Conduct monthly safety training meetings
• Conduct performance evaluations for all members of the Trans. Department
• Ensures that fleet related issues are reported to Operations Manager and Mechanic for corrective action taken
• Ensure that DOT files and MEDICAL CARDS are current for all Drivers with a CDL license
• Ensure that all Trans Drivers are logged ontoRoadneteach morning
• Schedules all Vacation Requests and tracks all time off requests
• Processes all uniform orders for all department personnel as needed
• Processes all payroll documents as needed to ensure proper payment to employees
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 Years in Delivery Driver position
• Must be 21 years of age
• CDL preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication skills - verbal, written, andpresentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft - Word, Excel, Outlook
• Strongleadership and management skills
• Knowledge ofRoadnetpreferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to drive a delivery vehicle up to 10 hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift between 40-50 lbs
