Data Scientist If you are a Data Scientist with experience, please read on! A well-established insurance company is looking for a Data Scientist. If you have 1+ years of experience as a Data Scientist and are looking for an opportunity where you can grow and take on new challenges, this role is for you. This is a hybrid role based in Torrance, CA.
What You Will Be Doing You will be responsible for identifying data requirements and available data sources to build business and customer-facing products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include coding and development of tools that use predictive modeling and machine learning, build, maintain and improve models by applying advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques, and guide and lead advanced research for insurance products.
What You Need for this Position Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist
- Experience with predictive analytics and statistical analysis
- GLM modeling experience
- GCP experience

Nice to have:
- Master's degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field
- PhD
- Experience working for an insurance company
- Actuarial and/or mathematical background
