Position Summary

MAG is seeking an experienced and innovative Cybersecurity leader with 6 or more years' experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and assuring high quality Cyber compliance and operations for Enterprises, as well as 2 or more years leading teams of cybersecurity professionals including Operations, GRC/Policy, and Engineering functions. The optimal candidate is;

Your history in supporting the transition to cloud-based, software-defined, and other modern architectures without compromising on security or user experience will speak to your ability to be successful in this role.
  • Diligent: Your background meeting compliance requirements of the highest order including RMF, NIST 800-171 and 53, CMMC and other regulatory and information assurance frameworks allow you to effectively assess, plan, and mitigate risk through thoughtful and intentional focus on continuous monitoring and evaluation.
  • Personable: You've received high praise for your customer-first approach, team attitude/collaborative abilities, and ability to communicate even complex cybersecurity and information assurance topics to stakeholders and employees. You have experience building relationships to demonstrate your ability to build a Cyber-minded culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

You will collaborate with peers and stakeholders, and lead your team of Cybersecurity professionals to ensure optimal deliver and support for cybersecurity operations, governance/risk/compliance, and overall risk management including.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise to your team and colleagues
  • Ensure MAG's information systems are able to meet/maintain key enablers for our ability to support our mission including CMMC 2.0 certification and compliance
  • Develop, monitor, and improve cybersecurity KPI's to demonstrate appropriate/value-added management of threats, risk, and compliance.
  • Implement technology, processes, and solutions to secure data, systems, and the users that
  • Plan, manage, and optimize your budget to keep tools, solutions, and spend optimized for maximum effectiveness and value.
  • Develop and present information and beneficial briefings, communications, and presentations to varied audiences including users, cybersecurity colleagues, and leadership.
  • Develop and contribute towards key strategic roadmaps, objectives, and key results

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

The position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; thereby, in accordance with Federal Requirements, medical requirements include but are not limited to full COVID-19 vaccination status except in limited circumstances where a candidate is legally entitled to an accommodation - proof of vaccination required.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven ability to effectively implement and support regulatory and governmental control frameworks including CMMC, NIST 800-171/53, ISO.
  • Advanced Security certification e.g. CISSP, CISSP, or CCSP.
  • Deep understanding of security-related technologies including Network Security (Firewalls, SDWAN/SASE, IPSEC), Identity and Access Management (Active Directory, Conditional Access, etc.), Endpoint Management, and Business Continuity/Data Protection.
  • Project management: Demonstrated ability to assume varied project roles to devise, lead, manage, influence, and contribute to simultaneous projects and initiatives effectively.
  • Direct experience performing self-assessments, passing external assessments (e.g. DCSA audits, C3PAO engagements), and/or experience managing continuous monitoring technologies/IA teams.
  • Experience providing information security and compliance knowledge and capability in support of Cloud (SaaS/PaaS) required.
  • Experience building, leading, and developing world-class teams of professionals who are empowered, inspired and united to meet current and emerging industry and business demands.
  • Excellent communication (written/oral) and Customer Service skills.
  • Demonstrated history or achievement in process engineering or service improvement efforts strongly desired.
  • Due to contractual requirements, US Citizenship is required for this role.

Education and/or Experience
  • University degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related subject (experience in lieu of degree will be considered)
  • 6 or more years' experience in various Cybersecurity roles (including but not limited to Operations, Engineering, Analysis, or Testing/Assurance)
  • 2 or more years leading Cybersecurity (including managing personnel, strategy, operations, and budget)

Desired Requirements
  • Technical certifications in related areas desired (e.g. ITIL, AWS/Azure, CCNP, etc.)
  • Background in adjacent domains including Networking, Infrastructure Management, Information Assurance, or Technical Support.
  • Experience performing certified audits/assessments and granting accreditation.
  • Active Security Clearance.
  • Similar support/achievement in support of other digital megatrends (e.g. AI/ML, RPA/Automation, Microservices).
