Background information:

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Corporate Helpdesk Technician to be based in our Arlington, VA and Mount Laurel, NJ offices.

Overview:

IDT is seeking a Corporate Helpdesk Technician that will design, deploy and maintain Linux and Windows based computing systems intended to support corporate IT infrastructure and services in the cloud, on premise, as well as at the corporate datacenter in the Arlington, VA and Mount Laurel, NJ offices. Responsibilities will focus on recommending new technology, supporting the helpdesk, assisting in fine tuning the network, systems and corporate applications and support end user issues.

All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:

• Administer Microsoft 365 environment (email, compliance, sharepoint, etc.)
• Image, deploy, troubleshoot, maintain end user workstations
• Perform requirements analysis, translating business need into IT resource specifications
• Developing design documentation
• Asset management and procurement
• Provision virtual/physical servers and end user workstations per corporate and end user needs
• Patching and maintenance of end user workstations and corporate physical and virtual servers, storage, cloud instances, and infrastructure.
• Provide direct technical support for the planning, design, and implementation of new or replacement technologies to support the corporate infrastructure and end users.
• Contribute to improvement of administrative and operational processes
• Perform administration and lifecycle management of hypervisors, automation and orchestration software, enterprise virtual Systems and networks utilizing multiple network management tools and applications
• Ensuring that all systems are in compliance with industry standard IT security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, SOX

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant field of Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in a relevant technology field required

Required skills:

• Experience with server and or desktop virtualization
• Extensive experience with Operating Systems (Mainly Windows and some Linux) configuration and administration
• Virtualization Infrastructure Experience with VMware or similar virtualization tools
• Basic network experience - understanding IP and subnetting
• Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in an agile work environment
• Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations
• Ability to travel approximately 10% to remote IDT offices around the US.
• Experience with cloud environments, such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure

Preferred skills:

• Automate endpoint management solution
• Networking protocol experience (802.11, TCP, UDP, ICMP)
• Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Salt, or Puppet experience
• VMWare, AWS, Azure certifications or equivalent is a plus
• Familiarity with IT Compliance frameworks (NIST, SOX, ISO, etc.)
