Overview

Are you detail-oriented and deadline-driven with demonstrated experience editing copy in AP style?

LRP Media Group a media powerhouse for the last 40 years, is currently seeking a Copy Editor/Web Content Editor (Hybrid) to join their stellar Education Team. This entry level position will be assisting the copyediting process of the Education division's various products with a mix of short- and long-term deadlines. We are looking for someone who can thrive in the education world's exciting and fast-paced environment who loves being the final gatekeeper between our content and our many readers.

Responsibilities

Some of your job responsibilities will include.......

  • Copy edit content for books and pamphlets, webinars, conferences, and eLearning courses.
  • Copy edit and submit to Production content for monthly newsletters using Adobe InCopy.
  • Participate in monthly copy editors' meeting, where style guidelines are reviewed, updated, and revised.
  • Copy edits and post stories to education websites.
  • Develop and send summary of stories posted to the site for e-newsletters.

Position Requirements

You must have the following........
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1 + years' experience with direct copy-editing experience.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, which includes 2 days in our Palm Beach Gardens, FL office.
  • Proven ability to edit content for clarity, grammar, and overall presentation.
  • Proven ability to write clearly and concisely and to help editors rework confusing or unclear text.
  • Knowledge of AP Style and Editorial and Production processes.
  • Familiarity with publishing software, specifically Adobe InDesign
  • Demonstrated web research skills a plus.
