Job Summary: Veolia ES Technical Solutions, LLC is a global operation that provides for the collection, chemical analysis, transportation, disposal, and process treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The 210 employees located in the Port Arthur, Texas branch. This thermal branch is supported by a Boston-based executive team and a Milwaukee-based IT and financial shared service center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate income statements by profit center within five day monthly close cycle and other supporting financial reports to enable site managers in evaluating existing and/or potential business opportunities.
  
• Perform account analysis of income statements and balance sheets to ensure that financial statements accurately reflect the actual performance of each profit center.
  
• Calculate and report state sales and use tax and city business licenses as required by law.
  
• Review, code, and approve expense reports, capital purchases, and other financial related requests to accurately reflect incurred costs on a monthly and/or quarterly period.
  
• Maintain location general ledgers and related records in accordance with standard accounting practices and policies and procedures.
  
• Provide financial information at monthly and/or quarterly staff meetings to ascertain actual year-to-date revenues as it relates to target goals.
  
• Examine and verify accuracy of a variety of accounting computations regarding compliance issues with standards, regulations, laws, etc.
  

Education/Experience:

• BS in Accounting or related discipline required
  
• 5 to 10 years related work experience preferred
  
• CPA preferred
