Job Summary

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will work within the Power Switching and Distribution product engineering team. The tasks will be related to continuous improvement of engineering processes, including custom engineered-to-order work, new product development projects, and value engineering. Process mapping, visualization, and continuous improvement will be standard work.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain process maps for engineering functional teams
  • Utilize DMAIC strategy to identify areas within processes to measure and improve team performance
  • Lead-development of dashboards and visual guides for team processes to visualize work in progress
  • Propose KPI's and metrics for mapped processes to management
  • Develop tier dashboards that summarize multiple processes, metrics, and KPI's from cross functional teams
  • Work with management to develop data-driven improvement plans to processes, tools, or team organization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • Prefer understanding or experience with six-sigma or lean tools and methods
  • Prefer understanding or experience with data analysis and database queries
  • Must have skills with Microsoft office applications, particularly Excel
