JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Content Communications Specialist is responsible for collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and internal stakeholders to develop content in alternative formats for maximum usability with a compelling, consistent voice and tone. This includes managing and creating content for JAS's Request for Information (RFI) process, articles, case studies, product descriptions, white papers, global PowerPoints, and the company website.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the RFI process by determining the client's business needs and working with internal stakeholders to develop, organize and write clear and compelling responses.
  • Craft and formulate RFI content for final submission and conduct post-mortem analysis.
  • Manage and maintain the current RFI content database, ensuring the content is relevant, accurate, and accessible. Providing training and support for internal teams to access and utilize the database.
  • Determine the best solutions for overall content compilation and centralized storage.
  • Develop content for articles, case studies, product descriptions, white papers, global PowerPoints, and the company website, ensuring alignment and consistency in messaging, tone, and style.
  • Research various topics, staying up to date on industry trends to support content development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong verbal, editorial, proofreading, and writing skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • A demonstrated passion for writing with an excellent professional portfolio
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with SMEs and internal stakeholders

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field
  • Extensive experience with PowerPoint and proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools, Google suite, and writing programs
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional writing experience for a B2B audience
  • Logistics experience preferred

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 10%) required to support the position's responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
