MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking a Construction Manager in the Dallas, TX area who will work closely with the Project Coordinator and have direct oversight of the Installation Team’s day-to-day activities, timekeeping, and necessary training. The Construction Manager will work closely with the Engineering and Construction Manager for all staffing needs for the installation team to ensure the team meets the demands of the business. The Construction Manager will be the main point of contact for the Project Managers regarding daily project updates, inventory management, quality control, on-site construction meetings, and material delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Manage the Installation Teams in the construction of distributed antenna systems (DAS) and low voltage cabling
  • The Construction Manager role will spend 25% of their time in the office and 75% of their time in the field
  • Maintain exceptional internal and external customer relations
  • Receive daily updates on each project from the project leads and get the project management team involved if any issues arise
  • Oversee installation activities on a multi-project basis, including both staff and subcontract personnel
  • Manage quality control of installation work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Support a wide range of field-oriented installation services including system electronics donor and distributed antennas, coax, Category and fiber cabling, terminations, and testing
  • Ensure that the installation team is appropriately managing the inventory of projects
  • Assist with development of project schedules and materials/subcontractor selections
  • Ensure the Installation Teams maintain a safe neat work area and accurate inventory
  • Support the training and development for all levels of the Installation Team
  • Set high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed
  • Actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or graduation from a certified vocational school with emphasis in the field of electronic systems
  • A Minimum of 7 years’ experience in related responsibilities, with experience in the specific area of technology
  • Ability to maintain an exceptional level of quality in your work, especially by means of attention to every stage of the process of delivery
  • Certified in OSHA 30
  • Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
  • The employee would demonstrate knowledge of one or more of the below applicable work segments:
    • DAS/BDA Systems
    • RF Networks
    • Installation of wireless networks and iInstallation of low voltage cabling
  • Must possess a clean driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license
  • Obtain security clearances and badges as required
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to travel as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear, utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend / descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
