Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the CSG Global Ethics and Compliance Program under the guidance and direction of the Senior Compliance Manager. The Compliance Lead will interact with management to achieve positive outcomes for the business and the program.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities/Functions (Compliance Program Oversight)

  • Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements. Support Compliance Management in developing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-wide Compliance Program and a culture of compliance to align with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and industry practices.
  • Assess the sufficiency of controls to mitigate risks associated with the Payments business units. Support Snr. Compliance Manager to ensure gaps in controls are timely remediated to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in identification of compliance risks as they relate to Payments business units and report issues to Compliance Management.
  • Collaborate with business units and technology teams to ensure alignment with compliance policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Develop compliance policies in accordance with Company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Create monthly compliance reports to be shared with senior management as well as quarterly reports to the board.

Responsibilities/Functions - Audit and Exams

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper and timely receipt of information and documentation required for exams, assessments, reporting and due diligence reviews.
  • Provide written reports and workpapers to federal and state regulators, banking partners, third party auditors and internal audit as part of periodic examinations, audits, and quality control reviews.
  • Assist in designing and planning remediation actions related to Money Transmission Licensing, Bank Secrecy Act and other issues identified through independent testing, examinations, self-identification, or other escalation processes. Draft management responses to external compliance audits and exams as appropriate and implement necessary changes.
  • Manage remediation of compliance issues impacting the Payments Business with technology and business teams to ensure remediation is completed timely and effectively.
  • Execute projects requiring cross-organizational alignment and prioritization.

Responsibilities/Functions - Suspicious Activity Reporting

  • Thoroughly and timely review unusual activity reports that potentially identify suspicious activity. Support Compliance management with AML/Fraud investigations. Write Suspicious Activity Reports and apply appropriate risk mitigation measures.
  • Assist with gathering, processing, and coordinating the Program's BSA, AML and OFAC data to help ensure compliance with the BSA and USA PATRIOT Act.
  • Ensure compliance with all external reporting requirements, maintain all records, reports and supporting documentation for BSA compliance.

Responsibilities/Functions - Compliance Training and Process Improvements

  • Provide support and AML/Card Association/Nacha Rules subject matter expertise to stakeholders on a daily basis. Educate stakeholders on Nacha/Card Association/AML Compliance requirements.
  • Develop and administering training for BSA/AML/OFAC/Card brand/Nacha rules.
  • Develop and/or enhance internal job aids to ensure compliance processes are documented.
  • Utilize quality and operational excellence principles and processes to manage assigned aspects of CSG Forte's Compliance Program and ensure alignment/linkage with CSG's strategic objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 9 years prior relevant work experience or its equivalent in the areas of audit, compliance, or legal experience or training.
  • Experience communicating with regulators, auditors and other professionals in a manner that demonstrates mastery of the subject matter and of the operations.
  • Experience researching federal, state, and local ordinances, rules, regulations, licensing requirements, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Experience analyzing policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Proven track record of implementing scalable compliance solutions (technology, procedures, processes, etc.) in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and trends in the payments space.
  • Experience in creating and delivering presentations.
  • This job requires domestic and/or international travel up to 10%.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Card Association rules, Nacha, Bank Secrecy Act, MSB, State Money Transmission Licensing laws, regulatory policies, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written), organizational, business acumen, and report writing skills.
  • Exercise sound professional judgment, attention to detail, and observe the highest degree of confidentiality and accuracy in the handling of information received.
  • Desire to increase learning and gain further expertise in the compliance and ethics field.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others at all levels.
  • Significant interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to lead and motivate staff.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products and other software when applicable.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in a business environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a Money Service Business preferred.
  • Professional compliance and ethics certifications are preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
