Volt has an amazing opportunity for a CNC Swiss Setup Tech-Swing, in Corona, CA paying up to $32.00 an hour DOE.

Job Responsibilities:

• Machine parts based on blueprint drawings for various materials and sizes.
• Inspect parts using measuring equipment provided by the tooling department or production lead.
• Understand and follow blueprints, ensuring comprehension of all features and characteristics.
• Perform in-process inspections.
• Manage tooling by checking in and out from the tool crib as needed.
• Report non-conforming parts to the department lead and management.
• Operate CNC machining equipment based on prototype sketches, complex drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Set up and manufacture high-precision parts.
• Maintain consistent quality and load parts and tools correctly throughout the job.
• Address tooling issues by recognizing wear and replacing or changing worn tools.
• Measure workpieces for conformance to specifications.
• Provide machining support for parts of varying sizes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, paying attention to detail.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment and product issues, including reworks.
• Double-check completed paperwork for assigned jobs.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma.
• Experience with plastics, aluminum, and light stainless steels is a plus.
• Ability to sharpen own tools.
• Familiarity with Citizen Swiss and Tsugami machines (Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls).
• 5-7 years of minimum setup experience.
• This is an ITAR facility - employee will need to meet all ITAR requirements
• Candidate will need to willing to subject to a Drug Screen and 7 year background check.

Skills and Abilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Strong math skills, especially related to machining.
• Use measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and pressure micrometers.
• Follow work instructions.
• Detail-oriented.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English for traveler instructions and documentation.
• Bonus: Experience with Partmaker for job programming.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary ranging from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
  • 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
  • 4:00 pm to 12:30 am
