Summary

The Clinical Leader role is Full Time at our Longwood Campus.

In collaboration with the nurse director, The Clinical Leader assists in the coordination of patient care services for area(s) of responsibility Assists the Nurse Director with staffing, scheduling, daily operations, and short and long range goal planning and implementation. The clinical leader is present to manage the unit during periods of absence of the Nurse Director. Contributes to the development of the unit budget and demonstrates fiscal responsibility over supplies and utilization of resources. Collaborates with Nursing Education to oversee clinical competence of staff and promote ongoing professional growth and development. Maintains all competencies of the Registered Nurse role and job description and serves as a role model of service excellence. Adheres to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations, ANA scope and standards of nursing, the ANA code of ethics for nursing. Assumes responsibility for own professional growth.

Qualifications
Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in Massachusetts.
• At Least 2 years of medical/surgical Nursing experience is preferred.
• Related experience required for advanced clinical and specialty areas.
• Demonstrates leadership activities; able to work under stressful situation; and possesses well developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Membership is a professional nursing organization desired.
• BLS certification is required ACLS and/or PALS Certification Preferred depending on population served
