Position Overview:

The Child and Adolescent Support Services will work in a collaborative team environment to conduct evaluations of standardized functional needs assessment tools used to determine eligibility for Medicaid-funded long-term service and supports, including home and community-based services.

Essential Functions:
  • Utilizing expertise to conduct comprehensive assessments on current practices and procedures within child welfare and child/adolescent support programs
  • Developing and implementing tailored training programs for agency staff on best practices, regulations, and policies relevant to child services programs
  • Providing expert guidance and support agency leadership in implementing improvements and addressing challenges
  • Collaborating with agency staff to develop and implement quality assurance measures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in meetings, presentations, and discussions related to child welfare initiatives
  • Conducting research and remaining updated on emerging trends, research findings, and best practices in child welfare
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration amongst stakeholders
  • Analyzing data and outcomes to assess the impact of interventions and identify areas for improvement
  • Working with state client personnel to determine how standardized child developmental needs assessments may be used for determining tiered-based reimbursement and budgeting models.
  • Maintaining security of and confidentiality of all protected health information (PHI)
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years' of related experience required
  • Experience and knowledge of state and federal children's services regulations, including eligibility policies, assessment criteria, and program planning
  • Experience in direct assessments and beneficiary care and/or care coordination preferred
  • Proficient use of applicable software tools, including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel,
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal, including ability to present to large or small groups
  • Self-directed and motivated, with ability to work independently under general instructions
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
  • Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

The Team:
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Consulting engagement team.

Work Style:
Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period. As a company, we are always willing to discuss potential flexibility that an employee may need to better suit their work-life wellbeing.
