Job Description

Summary

• Handles samples, performs analyses and reports accurate and timely data according to Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies.

Job Functions

• Handles samples and performs analyses according to Standard Operating Procedures and test methodology
• Maintains and verifies equipment
• Maintains cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces
• Reports deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor
• Maintains records of all quality activities as documented in Operating Procedures and test methods
• Identifies and records nonconformities on Performance Nonconformance database

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field or commercial laboratory experience (Required)
• Previous chromatography or analytical chemistry experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• N/A

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Language Skills: English (Required)
• Mathematical Skills: Basic level of knowledge (Required)
• Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic (Required)

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Office 365 Suite required, experience with LIMS system (Preferred)

Physical demands of the job

• Able to function under amber lighting in the laboratory
• Job requires standing for long periods of time
• Manual dexterity is required to handle laboratory glassware and pipets
