Overview:

TheMicrosoft Policy Governance Team is developing a chatbot to help Microsoftemployees get fast and accurate answers to their Microsoft policy questions.The content writer will have the chance to establish and evolve the contentstrategy for the chatbot as it's being developed from the ground up.

Thecontent writer will communicate with program managers, engineers, policyowners, and team members to perform chatbot testing, analyze data, curateQ&A content, showcase the latest iterations to stakeholders and deliver onboth the short-term and long-term roadmap.

Toprequired skills:

Thisrole requires UX content strategy/copywriting experience, strongcross-functional communication skills, mastery of the English language,proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially SharePoint Online;and the abilityto analyze and interpret Microsoft policy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop content for an internal chatbot,enabling Microsoft employees to get fast and accurate answers to theirMicrosoft policy questions

• Write content for microcopy, error messages,user notifications, calls to action, email communications, and botconversations

• Analyze and interpret Microsoft policy incollaboration with program managers

• Take an active role in planning bot conversationstrategy and design, ensuring accuracy and compliance in chatbot answers whilesimplifying Microsoft policy for the user

• Develop a content strategy by analyzing HR emaildump files, Microsoft Policy, chatbot dump files, and chatbot testing sessions;perform research on chatbot best practices

• Build and refine the chatbot's Q&A knowledgebase in collaboration with policy owners;use SharePoint to upload and copyeditthe Q&A

• Enrich bot content, identifying user gaps andneeds

• Continuously improve the bot content byorganizing testing sessions and using data to inform the content strategy

• Communicate across the team and organization,collaborating with engineers, program managers, content writers, and designersto communicate your content recommendations

• Develop a deep understanding of the chatbot'sfunctionality

• Regularly test the chatbot and report bugs anderrors

• Evolve the content strategy as the team trainsthe bot and uses AI to enhance its capabilities

• Anticipate possible user interactions with thechatbot and create consistent, engaging content that meets users' needs

• Use simple yet comprehensive language whencrafting chatbot answers

• Create a conversation style guide for the bot asneeded

• Balance business needs with those of the user;influence team members to take action based on your content recommendations

• Develop a bot persona to ensure interactions areenjoyable, accurate, and engaging

Qualifications:

• Bachelor'sdegree in English, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field

• Aportfolio that showcases your content strategy/copywriting/UX content work

• 2+years professional copywriting or content strategy experience with a focus onUX copy;chat bot experience a plus

• Masteryof the English language including grammar, punctuation, and style

• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office, including SharePoint

• Ableto meet tight deadlines with a strong multi-tasking ability to manage manyprojects at once

• Strongorganizational skills

• Excellentcross-functional collaboration experience, both written and verbal

• Abilityto deal with ambiguity and constant change in chatbot design thinking andprocesses

• Enthusiasmfor AI and technology;experience with a conversational AI platform a plus

• Detail-orientedcontent writer who uses data and creativity to solve problems

• Experiencefollowing a style guide;familiarity with the Microsoft Style Guide a plus

• Data-drivencopywriting experience a plus

Minimum educationqualification:

Bachelor's Degree inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field.
