Job Summary

• Provides spiritual care and support to staff, patients, and their families according to established policy and protocol.
• Works in concert with other clinical staff to assess the spiritual, religious and cultural needs of patients and their families and plan and provide care respectful of religious and cultural diversity.
• Involves and coordinates care with the patient or family's religious leader when permission to do so is given.
• Works to interpret and fulfill the Hospital's mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
• Chaplains must complete one unit of CPE.

Hours are: Monday-Friday, 730am-4pm. 2-3 holidays per year is required. Weekend work is also required and includes two 8-hour shits per month. Hours could take place anywhere from Friday overnight to Sunday overnight. Weekend hours will vary. Candidates must be available to work any hours during the course of a weekend, but will only be required to work two 8-hour weekend shifts per month.
