About This Job

The Channel Marketing Manager is a great opportunity with an industry leading wealth management company to be involved in all aspects of marketing that directly supports business growth. You will work closely with senior business leaders to develop strategy and build marketing plans to implement across the team.

Essential Functions

  • Work with Commerce executive and sales management teams to develop marketing strategies and sales plans for expanding client relationships and acquisition with private banking, investment management, personal trust, institutional, family office, insurance, and brokerage services
  • Devise specific brand awareness, lead generation, segmentation, and channel management strategies/campaigns to increase sales production
  • Report to Commerce Trust Company's Chief Marketing Officer and have accountability for specific assigned annual goals, management of a portion of the annual marketing budget and shared accountability for system-wide sales goals
  • Directly participate in three primary areas of responsibility: a) marketing and communications; b) sales strategy support and execution; and c) sales content and systems management
  • Interact with external vendors on matters pertaining to development of marketing materials and special projects
  • Interact with clients and prospective clients to gather marketing intelligence and test marketing strategies, as well as new products and services
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Experience with multi-function projects and processes
  • Ability to lead and influence, but also to navigate a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to take a disciplined and strategic approach to complex issues
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking for both micro and macro business interests
  • Strong critical thinking skills: Gathering insights and making educated decisions based on logical conclusions
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas and influence others through one-on-one and group presentations
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business (products/services offered) and ability to consult with business partners on a variety of different subjects
  • Ability to get things done while maintaining professionalism and building relationships across the organization
  • Strong strategic thinking ability that incorporates successful marketing principles and industry insights
  • Ability to lead a team of indirect reporting relationships from both internal and external resources (matrixed organization)
  • Salesforce and HubSpot experience a plus
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Education & Experience

Required
  • Undergraduate degree (masters preferred, marketing/communications or related focus)
  • 7+ years relevant marketing experience

Preferred
  • 3+ years of financial services industry experience (wealth management desired)
