Responsibilities
-Applies a wide variety of types of casts or traction determined by the physician to treat fractures, sprains, wouinds of the extremities and/or infections.
-Instructs patients on cast care and at home fraction.
-Each patient must be informed of what their roles are when they are discharged in one of our devices.
-Maintains DME equipment and have open communication with the DME Supplier. Complete required paperwork as necessary.
-Maintains equipment and supply inventory at primary location.
Coverage: Occasional travel, as necessary to main hospital location and / or Satellites. Some of the above duties will be required only when coverage is necessary at main hospital site.
Precertification of MRI/special studies, when applicable.

Qualifications
Skills & Abilities :
Familiar with CODE protocols in case of emergency
Training & Education :
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Some college credits preferred
Experience :
Casting experience preferred
Supervisory Responsibility :
None
Required Licenses :
CPR certification obtained within 6 months of employment
