Underthe general direction of the Cafeteria Supervisor, responsible for variousduties relating to the preparing, serving, and cleaning up of cafeteria meals.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Maintains establisheddepartmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program andsafety standards.
• Prepares and sets up food in steamtable, grill, salad bar, deli bar and dessert bar. Prepares beverages andcondiments.
• Obtains and places dishes and servingutensils at all stations.
• Services food at hot stations, cooksand serves grill items, prepares and serves sandwiches at deli.
• Assists in miscellaneous foodpreparation.
• Maintains and records food andrefrigerator temperatures.
• Wipes off counters and tables,arranges, rearranges and replenishes items as needed: maintains a clean workarea.
• Informs cooks of items needed.
• Restocks supplies such as condiments,salad dressings, beverages, food items and paper goods, etc.
• Cleans general work area includingdelis, refrigerators, steam tables, grills, sinks and tables.
• Participates in postmeal cleanuptasks.
• Serves as cashier when needed forbreaks.
• Assists with care and maintenance ofequipment and supplies.
• Greets customers promptly andcourteously.
• Attends in-service meetings.
• Performs other related duties asassigned.

Qualifications
Required: English: basic communication skills to understandand speak for safe, efficient performance of job responsibilities. Basiccomputer skills which may be obtained thru on the job training. Ability to read, write and communicate routineinformation. Ability to work from oral and written instruction. Basic mathskills (count and compute).

Requires one to three months related foodservice experience.

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
