Position Overview

Perform all insurance-related activities, prepare and analyze information in support of the annual business plan, and organize and prepare information related to facilities administration.
Essential Functions

Insurance

  • Gather and file mechanic liens, and other customer surety documents.
  • Report, manage, and close out all insurance claims.
  • Provide support for facility inspections, internal and external audits, and insurance administration.
  • Validate and maintain company insurance certificates, bonds, and letters of credits.
  • Prepare and analyze information required to prepare annual renewal documents.
  • Streamline and automate document control and approval processes within SharePoint.
Business Planning
  • Prepare and distribute recurring financial reports used to measure trends, performance, and progress against plans.
  • Support the development, operation and enhancement of processes and reporting with the business planning software.
  • Prepare annual facilities plans analyzing the current office, factory, and warehouse space required to support the business plan. Identify potential purchase/lease options, space requirements, renovation costs, schedules, and recommend solutions.
Facilities Administration
  • Research and analyze building configurations and layouts and make recommendations for efficient utilization of business space and resources.
  • Maintain and organize revision control of current project information and estimates for office reconfigurations and furniture projects and participate in project turnover meetings.
  • Research and analyze service contracts in support of cost reduction activities.
Other Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain templates for insurance claims, business planning, facilities planning, and others as required.
  • Further the goals and positive professional image of the Company by conducting business with outside contacts, auditors, and other MEPPI departments in a timely and cooperative manner.
  • Know MEPPI's Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 3 years' experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management and financial analysis.
  • Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills required to communicate with customers and employees.
  • Intermediate computer skills, emphasizing knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
