Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - COMMISSION.

Position type: Full-Time, Contract
Duration: 12-month (Possible conversion)
Location: Remote

As a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - COMMISSION, you will:

Responsibilities:
Coordinates pricing and contracting for sales team across many different departments, responsible for efficient and accurate data entry and maintenance of customer information, stays up to date with utility requirements and provides technical support to stakeholders, communicates clearly and concisely when interacting with others verbally or via email. Energy industry introductory position that requires the following: proficiency in Microsoft applications, strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to build and maintain trusting relationships and capable of maintaining confidentiality. Demonstrates flexibility, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm to learn with a strong attention to detail. Experience in a fast paced and team-work environment and can work under pressure. Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required. Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems is a plus for this role.

NOTES SPECIFIC TO THIS ROLE:

The Role:

  • They sell Drone and Remote vehicle inspection services to any industry in which inspections are required and the human danger element can be mitigated by using a remotely operated inspection device.
  • The technology was specifically designed for the industrial/heavy manufacturing industry - specifially those that might have smoke stacks of one kind or another.
  • The manager is looking for somone with experience and contacts in the industrial manufacturing space, preferably selling services. If they could find someone who has previous experience selling services into the Paper Milling Industry, that would be absolutely ideal.
  • Candidates can be completely remote, but the team works on the east coast, so they will need to attend meetings and be available during ET core business hours.
  • The candidate should assume they will travel approximately 1+ week per month to trade shows and other sales visits. Travel will be anywhere in the continental US with 80% of paper mills being east of the Mississippi and 20% being in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Some industries that would be good to pull from are cement manufacturing, paper manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Smelting/Metal Melting (anything that has large smoke stacks), Manufacturers (who are melting metal for their manufacturing processes).
  • Degree is not important
  • For the right person, they are hoping to make this role an FTE.
Commissions:
- Commission % should be no higher than 6% (so something like 1%-6%). Candidates submitted at 6% will require additional scrutiny.
- The average sale right now is $30-60k and the manager thinks it should likely go up to closer to $50-100k. As an example calculation, if the contractor sold $30,000/month and was receiving 3% commission, they would earn $10,800 for the year in commissions. I think the expectation would be that this sales person would sell much more than this in a year, if they were meeting business expectations.
- Commissions will be paid out as Misc Fees through the contractor's assignment in Beeline and 13% markup will be added to cover statutory employment costs/taxes.
- Each month, when commissions are set to be paid out, the business will provide me with an overview of the commissions that the contractor has earned and I will be able to provide that to you for your records and to give to the contractor (if you see fit).
