Job Responsibilities

This position is the Merco Pickup Locker expert responsible to support the field sales organization, including GSA, Reps, FIT & Culinary teams, in growth of device and subscription sales by providing expertise in application, technical support, customized agreements and training. This person would take a lead role in converting Sales team leads into closed sales. They would then aid in the customization for the customer, technical execution, and deployment. This product line fills a corporate strategy to cross-over between the Foodservice, Convenience, and Hospitality industries.

  • Lead business development opportunities for the Merco Pickup Locker solution
  • Interpret market trends, opportunities, customer needs and feedback to assist in the development of prioritization and product roadmaps
  • Manage business case development and return on investment (ROI) for potential customers
  • Assist in price positioning, profitability, and support commercial activities
  • Collaborate with Merco and partner marketing to develop marketing materials/campaigns, web presence, sales tool development and product training events.
Key Tasks
  • Supports field sales, national/global accounts and independent reps in complex sales and large opportunities, accompanying them on customer calls as required. Works with sales management to maximize product penetration strategy. Prepares product launches
  • Act as the global expert for Merco Pickup Locker solutions internally and externally, addresses all product usage and performance related questions, serve as key point of contact for the broader EMEA and APAC regions. Works with PL/Regional marketing, sales, service, and other functional groups globally to ensure effective pricing and distribution strategies.
  • Interpret customers' success criteria and data, to showcase ROI paybacks to customer.
  • Develop, plan and deliver on training programs for internal and external sales personnel (including sales tools, competitive benchmarking, case studies, presentations) customized to the appropriate audience and end-customer.
  • Prepares, plans and drives execution of field trials including working with legal on any agreements.
  • Reviews and advises on price positioning strategies which result in optimum market share and profitability including and taking into account all functional stakeholders.
  • Tracks margin; provides input to increase reliability and input to aftermarket services and products (extended warranty, monitoring, etc.). Conducts, reports market research (market share, trends, etc.); assesses end-user needs, evaluates and reports on customer satisfaction including studies on market potential for new, redesigned, or existing products. Assures market intelligence to capitalize opportunities
  • Manages ongoing global customer satisfaction and customer life experience, product upgrades, developing service initiatives and other programs to assure continuing revenue from long-life products

  • Experience & Education
    • Demonstrated business development and selling skills
    • Strong technical acumen - experiences with IoT and connected devices are desirable
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills that can transcend all levels of the business, including empathy for the end-user
    • Ability to manage deadlines and complexity and to think and problem solve analytically and creatively
    • Teamwork orientation; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
    • Leadership, collaboration, negotiating skills and strategy development; business acumen and experience in business case development
    • Advanced knowledge of computer software; demonstrated competence with spreadsheets, database applications, and presentations
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in combination of Technology Sales and Product Management
