Position Summary::The primary focus of this position is effective undergraduate teaching in the area of Business Communication. Teaching will consist of 12 credit hours per semester from an existing but evolving curriculum. The successful candidate can expect to be engaged in instructional activities both inside and outside the classroom. Examples of these additional activities include: assisting in curriculum development, assessing and evaluating students' communication development, supporting the activities of the communication excellence commons, and working to support the educational and programmatic goals of the department and college.
Ad Text::The Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama seeks highly qualified applicants to teach and support its program in Business Communication. Applicants must be familiar with business writing and norms for communication in the corporate environment, and have at least a master's degree in Business Communication, Professional Writing, Communication Studies, or a similar discipline with at least 18 hours of relevant graduate course work. An established teaching record of excellence at the university level in both oral and written business communication skills is preferred. The successful candidate will have strong collaborative skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and effective mentoring ability with college students.
This position is a non-tenure earning position, renewable for three-year periods at the discretion of the University, with no expectation of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period.
The appointment will become effective August 16, 2022.
