BASIC FUNCTIONS: This is an entry-level position that will work with one or more Business Units, supporting multiple assigned projects aimed at delivering IT solutions and services that meet company cost, quality, and strategic targets. With guidance and supervision from more senior members of the team, this role will undertake requirement gathering, analysis and definition and testing of business applications and functionality.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience equivalent to BS Engineering/Computer Science
* BS/BA degree in relevant IT discipline; Commercial BA/Testing or equivalent experience required

SKILL, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic understanding of software development methodologies, platforms, tools, and languages.
  • Understanding of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Ability to tailor communication skills to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder advocate
  • Creative approaches to new and existing functionality.
  • Affinity for understanding and translating stakeholder needs.
  • Good facilitation and workshop skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience of wireframing tools such as Moqups or Balsamiq.
  • Understanding and experience of agile software development methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Some knowledge of arable farming practices preferred but not essential.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Gather and analyse business requirements and business processes and translate them into user stories and functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops, produce gap analyses and current versus desired process documentation.
  • Communicate with business users, Software team members and other stakeholders.
  • Produce wireframes to communicate user journeys and processes.
  • Follow established business processes, protocols, and quality standards in the development and deployment of solutions.
  • Maintain stakeholder expectations and raise appropriate issues to management as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
