SUMMARY

The Business Analyst provides analysis, decision support, and reporting services to the businesses and functions of Ameridrives - Erie. This position is responsible for the collection, analysis, understanding, and communication of organizational data to division and business unit management teams in support of developing and tracking the execution of manufacturing operations. This role also identifies the constraints facing the business, provides insight into process and capability needs while supporting process implementation and improvement initiatives.

The Business Analyst shall be responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end, identifying and addressing operational, financial and technological risks, as well as opportunities to improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate data into visual and actionable information to better understand the state of the business, improve processes, and make informed short-term and strategic decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational, and other related research and analysis to support strategic and business planning for our manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Contribute to process and capability-building initiative both as a team member and a team leader
  • Understand customer needs and strategies utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (written communication, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, Excel)
  • Facilitate project meetings and present analyses to diverse audiences (senior management, technical staff, sales, and marketing)
  • Participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation, managing project scope, adjusting schedules when necessary, determining daily priorities, ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones, and following proper escalation paths when necessary
  • Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others, articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others, identifying and initiating projects, managing resources, driving the resolution of issues, and holding self and team accountable for results
  • Provide project leadership to peers and senior leadership by identifying and initiating projects, managing resources, and driving issue resolution.
  • Backup for month end closings

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in related field
  • 5+ years of business or financial analysis or project management work experience
  • Experience with month end financial closing and reporting
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Expert ability with MS Office
  • Power BI
