Job Description
The Azure Data Solutions Architect leads initiatives to develop and implement business-driven BI and analytics end-to-end solutions to enable business to win in the markets and gain competitive advantage. This position serves as primary liaison between IT Analytics, Shared Services, and Business Unit.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work together with IT Analytics leadership to develop sustainable hybrid Data Warehouse Platform vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with internal customers (i.e. functional/subject matter experts and/or end users) in various departments to build knowledge regarding their specific business area, unique processes, and operational data needed to support business objectives.
  • Educate the business and promote best practices on how to leverage BI and analytics solutions, as well as help facilitate discussions to anticipate future needs and opportunities.
  • Ensure high-performance access to diverse data sources in hybrid data warehouse environments
  • Establish standards for technology and business processes
  • Direct complex team projects to ensure high quality and timely results; project teams may consist of IT (Information Technologies) employees, functional experts/ end-users from various internal departments, external consultants, and/or vendors
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of related experience within a corporate environment required; experience must include successful track record with data warehouse architecture, ETL (extract/transform/load) processing, understanding of BI and reporting platforms.
  • Lead analysis, architecture, design, and development of traditional data warehouse, data pipeline and business intelligence solutions.
  • Strong background in cloud (Azure) environment with specific experience in Snowflake, Databricks and Data Factory.
  • Experience using PowerBI, Tableau or BOBJ (Business Objects) strongly preferred
  • Strong experiences with on premise DW (Oracle preferred)
  • Strong experience with SQL. and shell scripting.
  • Good understanding of various Data Models such as Dimensional Data Modeling, Extended Star Schema Modeling, Snowflake Modeling, Physical and Logical Data Modeling.
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices and automation of documentation, testing, build, deployment, configuration, and monitoring
  • Ability to indirectly oversee a cross-functional team
  • Ability to balance several projects while delivering high quality results in a timely manner.
  • Previous experience establishing and managing a budget, preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid understanding of domains such as ERP, CRM, SCM or Infrastructure Enablement systems, working knowledge of project and product management is preferred
