Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proficient with online video productions services, displays, and interactive systems
  • Provide Level 2 Support and administration of hardware and software video compressors
  • Ability to configure network settings on video gear
  • Experience with Dante networked audio
  • Perform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: testing/repairing cables, testing/repairing various hardware components
  • Administration of the below:
    • Desktop and Server OS Support (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux)
    • Unified Equipment Management (fleet management)
    • Network Switches & Routers
    • Raspberry Pi
    • Internet of Things (IOT) devices
    • Temperature and Humidity sensors
    • Any other managed IT specific device
  • Responsible for job site documentation as needed
  • Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, installing connectors, video/audio recording support
  • Work with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL
  • Provide client training as needed
  • Adhere to and understand local safety standards for all site duties
  • Travel to various job sites as required

Skills and Abilities

The AV IT Technician will need to be familiar with AV and Control systems over networks and have specific knowledge and/or certifications in the following areas:
  • Google Remote Desktop
  • Apple DEP Process
  • Windows OS imaging and for roll out of consistent templatized systems
  • Simple scripting for automated startup/restart processes
  • Custom PCIe cards used for audio/video preferably with AJA specifically
  • High speed and bandwidth Networked Storage preferably with Open Drives specifically
  • Network Security using 802.1X with MAC Addresses
  • Dante networked audio
  • Network settings for audio/video such as VLAN, QoS, IGMP Snooping, and more
  • Ethernet and Fiber based networks
  • Cisco C9300 Ethernet Switches

Education and / or Experience

  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred
  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Preferred external training:
    • CTP (Certified Technical Professional)
    • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
    • CNCT (Certified Network Computer Technician)
    • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course
