Title: Commercial Litigation Attorney

Practice Area: General Business Litigation, Insurance Defense

Location: Offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego

Compensation: $140,000-170,000

Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Defense Litigation Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join our legal team. As a Civil Defense Litigation Lawyer, you will be responsible for representing our clients in civil litigation cases related to various areas of law, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, professional malpractice, and contractual disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, excellent legal research and writing skills, and a proven track record of success in defending clients against civil claims.

Requirements:

-Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

-Admission to the state bar and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction.

-Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing civil litigation, with a focus on defense work preferred.

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

-Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities:

-Conduct legal research and analysis to provide timely and accurate legal advice to clients.

-Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents necessary for civil litigation cases.

-Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

-Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, and preparing witnesses for testimony.

-Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes when appropriate.

-Collaborate with internal teams, including other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to effectively manage caseloads and meet deadlines.

Years of Experience:

Minimum of 3+ years of defense experience is required

Billable Hours:

1650 billable hour requirement.

Salary: $140,000-170,000 Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
