VCA MacArthur Animal Hospital located in Washington, DC is looking for an Associate Veterinarian who enjoys practicing advanced medicine with a cohesive, tenured team.

We have a unique facility (three level row house) with four exam rooms, digital radiology, surgery suite, dental procedure room (digital dental x-ray), new LOGIQ e ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and complete pharmacy. Our staff is small in number but great in teamwork. Each member is critical to the smooth-operation of the hospital. We give "our all" to each pet and pet owner. Staff members are friendly, positive and drama-free. Most of our great clients live in the neighborhood and have been coming to our hospital for many years!

A full time doctor schedule consists of a four-day workweek with rotating Saturday shifts (at least one per month). No on-call obligations. There are multiple emergency and specialty hospitals in the area available for referral.

VCA MacArthur is located in The Palisades neighborhood of northwest Washington, DC. The Palisades runs along the northern boundary of the Potomac River, just beyond the bustling streets of Georgetown and downtown DC and close to the suburban Maryland border. The neighborhood has the feel of a small-town, close community and includes a variety of shops, restaurants, schools, and a library and post-office within a few blocks. Numerous recreational activities are easily accessible nearby along the Potomac River, as well as on the C & O canal and Capital Crescent Trails.

The staff at VCA MacArthur enjoys opportunities to serve the local community and volunteer for various projects or events. The hospital partners regularly with Bread For the City, a nonprofit agency in DC that serves low income residents, in offering a pet food pantry that provides high quality pet food to those in need. We have participated in the nationwide "Clear the Shelters" campaign and have a relationship with local shelters and rescues to provide discount services to newly adopted pets.  We also participate with "Pets of the Homeless" and other VCA Charities programs and events.
