ECS is seeking an Associate Management Consultant to work in our Washington, DC office.

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a driven, organized, and enthusiastic associate management consultant to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create high-level briefings and communications materials for customers, management, and executive stakeholders
  • Conduct interviews and draft written reports of findings and recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program administration and operations
  • Work with the government and team members to identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for service delivery improvement and new technology implementation
  • Support business process reengineering and streamlining
  • Draft and develop documentation of processes, policies, and guidance
  • Help define how information systems may be upgraded or replaced
  • Conduct trade-off analyses on business and technical requirements
  • Maintain a working understanding of the applicable service technologies, operating systems, and licensing structures
  • Develop team procedures, manuals, and other documentation
  • Create and drive DevSecOps strategy and implementation plans for multiple pilots and projects across DHS
  • Socialize, coordinate, and implement change processes to development practices
  • Become a trusted advisor and liaison to various stakeholders
  • Communicate the business, policy, and organizational challenges clearly and succinctly for technical and business audiences
  • Manage multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment across highly matrixed teams
  • Assess the change impact - conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders
  • Establish procedures and deliverable quality standards for the team so that deliverables are accurately and consistently captured and documented
  • Work with customer teams to identify process enhancement requirements
  • Help define how information systems may be upgraded or replaced
  • Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve
  • Drive innovation by supporting pushing new technologies through the 'Authority to Operate' process in the federal space, including developing and remediating POA&Ms
  • Assess and clearly communicate the impact of configuration changes to operating system capabilities
  • Interface with various diverse stakeholders as a liaison and trusted advisor
  • Develops and oversees implementation of detailed implementation plans
  • Work with customer teams to identify process enhancement requirements
  • Help define how information systems may be upgraded or replaced
  • May oversee work of analysts on other specific tasks
  • Manage interactions and support of multiple teams
  • Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize
  • Comfortable driving through barriers to foster collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, and resolution

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT discipline
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • 3+ years of relevant experience

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with JIRA and other Agile and traditional project management tools desirable
  • Experience consulting in a Federal Agency, especially within DHS
