SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, the Credit/Debit Card Associate Analyst reviews credit card and debit card reconciliations on a monthly basis. Analyze, research, and report on all dredit/cash fraud. Assure that all monthly and daily reconciliations are performed with accuracy and accountability as to what has been reconciled for all assigned accounts. This position requires timely reporting to management and field. This position requires daily and consistent telephone contact with customers and stores to quickly and accurately resolve credit card and debit card transaction concerns. Associate may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor's advance approval.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.*

* Oversee the work of credit/debit card team

* Review all credit card and debit card reconciliations

* Analyze and research all fraudulent transactions within Credit/Cash and work with appropriate teams.

* Report all fraudulent activity to Loss Prevention teams

* Work with law enforcement on fraudulent requests

* Resolve all reconciliation variances on a daily basis

* Input all refunds and payments received from team insure all necessary supporting documentation is provided

* Review daily outstanding reconciliations utilizing reports prepared from systems

* Review weekly reports concerning over/shorts, POS issues, and other reports as requested

* Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly fraud reports for field and management

* Review and analyze all month end reconciliations; denoting any and all discrepancies

* Reconcile all month end reconciliations to the General Ledger

* Respond to all calls, voice mails, and e-mails regarding credit card and debit card transaction issues within one business day from when they were received

* Research and resolve all customer credit card and/or debit card issues including issuing refunds when necessary

* Provide, via spreadsheet tracker, totals reflecting reconciled issues and outstanding items to supervisor on a daily basis

* Maintain intradepartmental relationships as it pertains to job responsibilities

* Other duties may be assigned as necessary for the successful operation of the business

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

* Accredited Bachelor's required in accounting, finance, general business or other related field preferred; ; at least one year of additional related experience may be considered in substitution

* Minimum 4 year of experience in an accounting/finance department required; experience working in credit/debit card area preferred

* Minimum one year of relevant, customer-focused worked experience preferred

* Retail experience preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

* Proficient knowledge of office computer platforms and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

* Working knowledge of accounting reconciliation process

* Ability to enter, retrieve, analyze, recognize discrepancies, organize, and report electronic financial data.

* Detail oriented and effective at researching issues and problem solving

* Working knowledge of credit card processing

* Basic/working knowledge of accounting principles

* Proficient verbal and written communication skills using basic English; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

* Ability to accurately type and enter information into a PC using a keyboard and mouse

* Ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members

* Ability to understand and comply with all GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, those related to attendance, safety, conflict of interest, confidentiality, honesty and ethical conduct

* Demonstrated learning agility to respond favorably to rapidly evolving systems, applications, organizational objectives, and internal processes
