The Gynecology Oncology (GYO) Division of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences (http://obgyn.med.miami.edu) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion and is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty. The University of Miami is considered among the top tier institutions of higher education in the U.S. for its academic excellence, superior medical care, and cutting-edge research.

The GYO Division is recruiting for a GYO faculty at the level of Assistant Professor. Candidates must be Board Certified in GYO. The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, and committed to outstanding patient care, research and education, and will be an established, academic, GYO physician, skilled in diagnosis and treatment of cancers.

Members of the GYO Division provide our hospital systems with an inpatient service as well as consultative and ongoing high risk care in an ambulatory clinic setting, comprehensive gynecologic care to women working alongside allied health professionals, specialists and subspecialists in both the University of Miami/ UHealth and Jackson Health Systems. Clinical investigation includes a broad range of domains, including but not limited to patient oriented, translational, epidemiologic, behavioral, outcomes, implementation or health services research.

Primary clinical responsibilities of the GYO provider include participation in inpatient and outpatient GYO clinical practice at the UMMSOM and Jackson Health System sites.

Minimum Requirements:

• Board certified in Gynecology Oncology

• Active Medical License in Florida

It is anticipated that the on-call will be approximately 3-4 calls per month, depending on the needs of the GYO Division. This distribution of effort may change based on the selected candidate's interests, department needs, and their success in obtaining extramural grant funding.
