The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine is soliciting applications for a TENURE-TRACK faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The Department of Biomedical Sciences consists of faculty members with diverse expertise spanning basic and translational research into the cellular, molecular and biochemical basis of health and disease. Areas of concentration include germ and stem cell biology and cancer biology. Candidates with interests in cancer biology and normal and malignant cell niches in particular, are encouraged to apply. The School is located at the heart of the University's Philadelphia campus in a highly interactive campus-wide biomedical research environment. The Department's faculty serve in leadership and teaching roles in multiple Biomedical Graduate Studies groups including Cell and Molecular Biology, Pharmacology and Immunology and delivers foundational veterinary medical education. Integration in the campus-wide biomedical community and access to a wide variety of core facilities provide ample opportunity to engage in collaborative cutting-edge research to advance both human and veterinary medicine.
