Holman has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Controller - Corporate Accounting to join the Holman Family and their team in Vancouver, Washington!

What will you do?

  • Supervise the accounting for dealership fixed assets, including fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers and depreciation.
  • Supervise the accurate and timely posting of all items pushed down through the retail "Superbill"
  • Supervise that the monthly intercompany interest between the dealerships and their parents are accurately calculated and posted.
  • Ensure all dealership related intercompany transactions are accurately posted and cleared each month.
  • Review the quarterly dealership reserve calculations, including reconditioning reserve, finance reserve, and service contract cancellation reserve, among others.
  • Assist the Corporate Controller with dealership cash flow analyses, working capital analyses, and quarterly rebalance calculation, among other dealership-focused calculations and analyses.
  • Assist the Corporate Controller with annual budgeting, long-term forecasting, and budget-to-actual analyses, among other forecasting projects throughout the year.
  • Assist the Corporate Controller with the annual external audit.
  • Assist the Corporate Controller with the monthly component-level consolidated financial statements.
  • Assist the Corporate Controller with the quarterly HNRH consolidated financial statements and footnotes.
  • Lead staff of financial professionals; assist in developing their careers to become future leaders within the Company.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA License required
  • 5+ years' experience, including 2+ at a supervisory level
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and external reporting
  • Experience developing and implementing processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Automotive retail experience is a plus
