Administers, directs and coordinates patient care in his/her assigned area (s) by managing personnel, material and fiscal resources in conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Manager, during his/her assigned work hours; interacts with other department and organization staff to ensure a collaborative approach to meeting the mission of this organization. This position is for the new inpatient unit on 7N that will be opening in the next few months.

Required Education and Experience

License and Certification Requirements
1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 16 CEU's annually and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; or
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 16 CEU's annually and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting.

1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the appropriate certification within eighteen (18) months of their appointment to this title.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have greater than 2 years of previous supervisory experience and greater than 5 years of experience in surgical oncology.
The preferred candidate will have their MSN or Master's Degree in a related field.
The preferred candidate will be ANCC certified.
The preferred candidate will have excellent leadership, organizational and analytical skills.
