Are you our next Area Coordinator?

The Area Coordinator will be responsible for leading operations planning for turnarounds and down days to support the continuous operations of the plant.

What will you do?

  • Manage and be responsible for asset readiness, to include workflow requirements, to achieve short-term, defined key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage and comply with established EHS MS programs, business unit initiatives, and other department administrative requirements
  • Plan, coordinate, delegate, and execute scheduled down days
  • Effectively manage controllable spend plan (e.g., accruals, budget) to ensure asset availability and operational readiness
  • Act as the operational lead for scheduled downtime, incorporating a logical approach to root cause identification using available data (PI, OIS)
  • Possess department-specific understanding of process and equipment and articulate how a process works.
  • Support the production supervisor and serve as a liaison to maintenance management, communicating appropriate information to the appropriate level, including daily expectations and messages of routine nature
What do you need for this role?
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED plus 5+ years' of relevant experience OR Associates degree in a Technical, Chemical or Engineering discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical, Chemical or Engineering discipline with 1+ years' experience preferred
  • 2+ years of previous Phosphates Operations experience in a supervisory position preferred
  • Strong operational experience is preferred as operational involvement and buy in are foundational to the workflow process
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is needed
  • Experience with Excel Pivot Tables, Maximo, Primavera, PI, OIS are preferred
  • Deep understanding of area process and equipment preferred
  • Strong motivational, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and understand the interrelations within an industrial facility
  • Process improvement skills and the ability to teach and coach others preferred

  • Physically able to use standard safety equipment which is rated for 300 pounds or less
