Exciting opportunity with SSM Health awaits! The Annual Giving Coordinator will play an extremely vital role on our Foundation Team. Duties include direct mail, employee appeal, and other initiatives.

Job Summary:
The Senior Annual Giving Coordinator will assist the Director of Marketing and External Relations and the Marketing Consultant / Manager with project management responsibilities that will help grow annual fundraising programs with specific efforts focused on growing the annual donor base. The Annual Giving Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of the employee giving campaign and serve as project lead in direct mail programs, donor recognition and stewardship programs. The Senior Annual Giving Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Marketing and External Relations.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Develop and execute new donor acquisition and stewardship plans
  • Develop and manage monthly giving program
  • Project lead that will oversee and manage the Employee Giving campaign from start to finish
  • Project manage all direct mailings and other marketing programs designed for annual giving such as Giving Tuesday, Donor Walls, and more
  • Mentor and manage the SSM Health Young Leaders and serve as Foundation liaison
  • Work closely with Director of Marketing and External Relations and Marketing Consultant / Manager to develop effective solicitation strategies and coordinate details for our annual giving programs
  • Assist and support Marketing Consultant / Manager in the development and execution of a Grateful Patient program
  • Make thank you calls, write acknowledgement letters, notes, and develop content and copy for mailings
  • Must be comfortable reaching out to donors/prospects; actively network within the community to make connections and introduce new potential supporters to SSM Health
  • Provide administrative support include but are not limited to - scheduling meetings for annual giving programs; submitting invoices and track expenses and other tasks as assigned

Skills & Abilities:

Ability to work collaboratively and successfully as a member of a team as well as independently

Knowledge of fundraising and development principles, methods and procedures.

Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel

Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, must be detail oriented with excellent follow-through

Strong initiative, work ethic and positive attitude

Strong communication and writing skills

Creative and able to be an 'out of the box' thinker

Ability to present self in a personable, professional and energetic manner

Display a passion for the mission of SSM Health

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

3-5 years of fundraising experience required

Knowledge of fundraising and development principles, methods and procedures

Strong project management skills

Ability to participate in evening and weekend activities as necessary

Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to interpret and package ideas in a clear and persuasive manner

Ability to multi-task and meet internal and external deadlines, work collaboratively in a team environment

Proficient in all Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook and Excel, and Power Point

Raiser's Edge and Microsoft Teams knowledge strongly preferred
