About the Positions: Analytical Lab Technician
Mosaic is seeking an Analytical Lab Technician for our Four Corner, Florida Location . Four Corners Mine represents 71,000+ acres of land in Central Florida that is currently being used for the mining and processing of phosphate rock which is the raw material for phosphate fertilizer production. Transportation of products are conducted by truck and rail car.

This is a truly unique opportunity as this is not your typical white glove environment. This is an exciting role that requires scientific precision but let's the worker get their hands dirty....literally. The Analytical Lab Technician will be responsible for the preparation, analysis and data recording of a variety of samples which will come from multiple phases of our mine to market process. The technician will adhere to correct procedures related to health and safety and will be responsible for preparing reports and maintaining database records. The importance of this role is two-fold. First, it serves our customers by ensuring they receive the highest quality products available. Secondly, it ensures Mosaic maintains the highest safety standards throughout the entire production process. Workers will be required to work the described shift and there will most likely be exposure to additional overtime which will offer the worker premium shift differentials.

What will the responsibilities consist of?

  • Collect, identify and prepare various samples for analyses for all stages of the process
  • Set up, maintain and operate various types of laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Perform analyses using hazardous chemicals and prescribed procedures to determine quality of product samples
  • Perform calculations, review data for accuracy, prepare reports, maintain database records and other job-related duties as assign

What will a person need for this role?
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A person with a passion for chemistry, science and testing.
  • Associates Degree in Chemistry or Science would be a huge plus.
  • 1-2 years' of Entry Level Laboratory work experience is highly preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Communications skills in needed
  • Valid Driver's license is required.
  • Physical work environment is typically indoors and in a consistent temperature.
  • There are occasions the worker may go to other areas onsite which would require short exposure to elements outdoors and varying degrees of hot and cold environments.

  • Able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others
  • Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns or materials
