RN coordinate care for medical oncology patients to include patient education on IV and oral chemo therapy drugs, symptom management of their disease and treatments. Coordination of all testing and labs to ensure patient care is met in a timely manner. Works with an oncology team to provide care to patients

RN supports the clinic functions for the specialty medical oncology clinics to included patient triage and patient care coordination for cancer patients. Includes symptom management, IV and oral chemotherapy education Care coordination and patient follow up for immunotherapy oral medication Will support the medical oncologists in the cancer center at Loyola. Support the financial process for obtaining authorizations for treatments such as chemotherapy, supportive medication and radiology studies. Administer medication in clinic. Performs nurse visits related to patients care. Works closely with the attending Physician to ensure patients cancer care is followed. Medical oncology experience is required.
