Location: Kent, WA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Aerospace Material Handler II for a 6+ month contract position in Kent, WA.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Coordination with all applicable departments to ensure on-time delivery of raw material, parts, consumables and tooling to and from the appropriate work centers
Enforce completion of work center buyoffs prior to moving hardware to the next work center
Ensure hardware and equipment are properly staged for inter-plant transportation/movement
Cross-reference and confirm part quantity, part number, serial number, labeling and routing sheet persist with hardware throughout plant movements
Ensure inventory movements are properly transacted and accurate
Contribute to zero-defect philosophy by escalating observed non-conformance or design/manufacturing issues that deviate from the nominal process
Support inventory deviation investigations found within work centers
Participate in production meetings to communicate part status information to management/leadership
Ensure smooth and efficient process flow by contributing to development/refinement of queuing software
Minimum of high school diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position (Standard steps in a given work day ~ 20,000)
Willingness to utilize powered lifting equipment, jib, crane or hoists
Must be open to working all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc)
Prior experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic industries
Experience in organizing files and documents
Prior transactional experience in Warehousing or Inventory (PO Receipts, Inventory movements, Inventory issue/kitting, shipping)
