Job Summary

This position is responsible for planning and directing the activities of a Repair Administration/Order Entry team. The administrative team leader provides direction, coaching and development opportunities for team personnel with the assistance of more senior staff. This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement to improve safety, quality, delivery, employee engagement and ultimately reduce costs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare work schedules, assign work and oversee the output of team members in assigned area.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks, process failures, incomplete or outdated procedures, staffing issues, customer interactions, service order anomalies,, and/or training deficiencies.
  • Develop and support a team based approach through daily communications meetings, working cross functionally and reinforcing overall company objectives.
  • Develop and monitor key metrics to assess productivity and cost management.
  • Organize and facilitate continuous improvement projects and support activities as part of a cross functional work team.
  • Work with Management to establish goals and objectives for the team in alignment with company strategic goals.
  • Set and communicate goals and objectives for employees. Monitor performance and give recognition and take corrective action when necessary. Conduct performance reviews in a timely manner for all members of the department.
  • Identify cross training opportunities and implement wherever possible to expand employee skills and flexibility.
  • Coach and develop all employees as opportunities present themselves. Seek coaching moments and offer assistance or suggestions whenever possible and appropriate.
  • Proactively develop, implement and support systems to achieve cost reductions, quality improvements, productivity increases and service improvements.
  • Develop staffing plan. Interview and hire new regular and temporary employees. Schedule necessary training and facilitate new hire orientation.
  • Participate in the development of operating budget. Maintain expenses to approved plan, or provide justification for supplemental expenditures as required.
  • Must work well with others.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Assist with correction/reprint of service notification report requests from customers.
  • On occasion, perform work in the check-in/check-out area when labor is short.
  • Update daily performance metrics.
  • Will require working with/at other TSI locations with limited travel (< 10%). Responsibilities at other sites could include; training, mentoring, correcting, advising and direct supervision of persons performing the same duties at other TSI locations.


  • Supervisory Responsibilities

    Responsible for managing personnel in an assigned area of operations.
    • Recruit, hire, and retain high performing team.
    • Define employee objectives, conduct performance reviews, and recommend salary adjustments.
    • Meet all assigned performance objectives.
    • Coach and mentor direct reports.
    • Define and execute required training programs to address product, application, process, and technology training needs.
    • Mentor new employees with their transition into the company.
    • Work with peers in management to drive the execution of continuous improvement projects.

    Job Requirements

    1. Required-Associates Degreewith a minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative role.

    2 Desired
    • Bachelors degree in a business/support field.
    • Experience with direct supervision of employees.
    • Experience with SAP or other ERP system.
    • Experience implementing best practices in a production environment.

    3. Knowledge of:
    • Employee relations and supervision
    • Policy and process development and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting
    • ERP/MRP and scheduling systems
    • Effective leadership concepts
