Administrative Assistant II
Roswell Park Cancer Institute
First Shift (United States of America)
Primary administrative support to Department of Gynecology. GYN Department is highly-active in clinical, research, & teaching missions, so administrative assist will perform duties in support of the newly-appointed Chair's vision in all these areas of activities, as well as the associated faculty and/or staff engaged in those missions.
Required Education and Experience
1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or
2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate should have experience in the following:
- Associate's degree; further preference for Bachelor's degree.
- Administrative work experience in a research setting that supports grant submissions and scientific laboratory activities.
- Experience working on legal documents and/or complex detailed-oriented documents that require precision and accuracy under tight timeframe/strict deadline.
-Experience in coordination of special events.
-At least 3 years of experience in a customer service-focused role, with further preference for a retail industry (vs. healthcare industry).
