We work closely, combining marketing, insights, product development, design, and engineering expertise to grow Free and Premium users and monthly active users in both new and existing markets across the globe. Our product area focused on improving the efficiency of paid media. Historically, the team has been focused on Automated Content Ads on Facebook/Instagram, Snap, TikTok, and Programmatic Display. As the team has expanded content ads to new channels and new marketing strategies (i.e., reactivation ads) we have realized a need for paid media domain expertise and ad ops support.

Specifically, the team is looking for someone with previous experience setting up and managing paid media campaigns (including campaigns with ad personalization such as Reactivation Campaigns), to join our team and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (across product, engineering, insights and design roles) to evaluate and capture new opportunities that drive user growth. This person would monitor live evergreen campaigns, set up new campaigns, support quarterly testing, propose and enable improvements to marketing strategy, expand existing channels to new markets, and enable new marketing channels.

What You’ll Do:


Be the Marketing expert for the product development team - work with product, insights, tech, and design to deliver products that improve Performance Marketing at Spotify
Identify gaps with our marketing technology stack and partner closely with product on feature requests, solutioning, and ongoing roadmap optimization.
Create processes to better understand the technology needs/challenges/opportunities of the Team
Bring simplicity to complex marketing technologies, provide innovative solutions to achieve marketing goals, increase effectiveness, and streamline processes
Configure ads campaigns and monitor performance of in-flight, manually-created campaigns
Manage ad localization process for the team
Educate the group on the Marketing domain


Marketing Strategy


Stay up to date on creative best practices across paid marketing channels and advise the group on how to conform to those best practices (i.e. 20% text, captions, etc.)
Research and summarize paid marketing trends and opportunities across activated and unactivated channels
Provide input into technical and product designs that are owned by engineering and product leads leveraging knowledge of ad platforms (Facebook, DV360, Snap, TikTok)
Liaise with marketing teams across Spotify to identify relevant insights for our Product Area
Partner with Product and Insights team members to develop quarterly marketing test plans and shape the strategic vision for the team


Who You Are:


You have at least 2 years of ad operations and paid media experience, especially with Facebook Ads Manager
You have experience trafficking ads for desktop and mobile platforms
You have in-depth expertise within the digital ad space and the ability to troubleshoot issues
You have programmatic trafficking experience with Demand Side Platforms (DSPs)
You have professional experience working in a product-oriented environment
You have a comfort and familiarity with modern development practices and the development lifecycle with experience using Scrum, Kanban, Lean or other agile methodologies
You have high standards for yourself and others
You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and take on something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
You are self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independentl
