Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Acquisition/Logistics Manager position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

We are seeking a highly qualified Acquisition/Logistics Manager with a solid background in logistics or program management, along with expertise in supply chain management, operations analysis, logistics, maintenance, and financial management. This role requires developing and integrating complex reports, supporting audit processes, and proactively identifying gaps, risks, or issues across multiple programs. The ideal candidate will excel in developing accurate briefings and reports to summarize program performance and address key issues for senior leadership and other stakeholder offices.

Job Requirements:

Skills / Experience Required

  • 10+ years of relevant DoD work experience
  • Serve as the foremost technical authority for matters pertaining to acquisition, asset tracking, and property management, providing invaluable expertise to the team
  • Collaborate in property audits, both internal and external reporting, and the meticulous management of databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Apply advanced methodologies and best practices to effectively oversee a comprehensive array of integrated logistics support programs
  • Offer expert technical insights, conduct thorough analyses of alternatives, and furnish sound logistics recommendations for acquisition and sustainment initiatives
  • Champion the establishment of a cohesive supply chain strategy and property management framework, harmonizing divergent systems and processes seamlessly
  • Evaluate the efficacy and implications of interfacing systems and data feeds with other platforms, proposing and implementing optimal solutions
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational prowess and adeptness in delivering compelling presentations
  • Operate autonomously while fostering seamless collaboration with team members and senior leadership
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management, contributing to the achievement of mission objectives
  • Proactively implement measures to forestall issues, exhibiting a proactive rather than reactive approach
  • Communicate effectively through articulate verbal and written exchanges, conveying concepts, plans, and proposals with clarity and precision
  • Manage contract processes, from inception to evaluation, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring seamless execution
  • Foster efficient cross-departmental communication channels, facilitating swift resolution of financial and contractual matters through coordinated meetings and actions
  • Generate, review, and uphold accurate financial and contractual documentation in adherence to organizational policies
  • Exercise sound judgment in interpreting contracts, offering contractual guidance to support compliance with stipulated requirements
  • Ensure expeditious review of contract modifications and timely dissemination of pertinent changes and notifications to relevant stakeholders
  • Spearhead efforts to secure requisite approvals prior to contract submission for execution, ensuring compliance with regulatory protocols
  • Maintain awareness of U.S. Space Force organizational structures, programmatic objectives, and mission imperatives to effectively serve program office customers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate proficiency in writing, editing, analysis, and facilitating team interactions, contributing to collaborative success
  • Exhibit exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, in all interactions

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
