Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the AR Staff Accountant will provide financial and administrative support to The Home.

Essential Functions

  • Apply cash receipts in GL and AR module on a timely basis. Communicate any issues and delays to the Senior Staff Accountant and Accounting Manager and work with them to resolve in a timely manner.
  • Works with the Senior Staff Accountant to process and record client fund activity including, processing wire transfers, updating client balances, communicating with the programs, and helping to resolve any issues or variances on a timely basis.
  • Participate in the monthly general ledger closing as assigned
  • Support the annual audit fieldwork including work paper preparation
  • Prepare reconciliations for monthly general ledger closing as assigned
  • Attends workshops, training, seminars, etc in order to remain current with accounting standards

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and 1 to 3 years of accounting experience. CPA preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and internet skills with the ability to learn new software applications
