Prologis is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to join an established team and make an immediate impact! This role will be responsible for leading and developing a talented team of over 9 AP specialists whose primary responsibilities include partnering with the real estate operations team to enter and code vouchers for the U.S., Mexico and Canada. In addition, this role will drive the identification and implementation of continuous process improvements and develop best in class policies and procedures to support our processes.

Here's how to do that:

  • Lead and develop AP processing specialist team, including weekly one-on-one check-ins, frequent performance feedback discussions, and creating opportunities for continuous training
  • Work with Director of Process Accounting to recruit and hire talented processing specialists and regularly review team compensation
  • Develop best in class on-boarding and training materials and work with AP Supervisor to ensure smooth transition for new employees
  • Responsible for working with the team to ensure coding reference materials and processes are kept up to date
  • Work with Director of Process Accounting to develop team key performance indictors ("KPIs") to manage and monitor team productivity, evaluate workload and identify process improvements
  • Utilize KPIs to regularly monitor voucher queue and team workload and provide direction to assist the team in reprioritizing accordingly
  • Lead focus group sessions with the Real Estate operations leadership as a method of collaborating regularly and partnering to identify process improvements
  • Act as direct point of contact for Real Estate operations and senior leadership through providing regular reporting of operating metrics and working to resolve issues as they arise
  • Lead and set strategic goals for the team to continually focus on process improvement, including Canon and invoice processing enhancements, reconciliation of property utility accounts and other related projects
  • Monitor the AP help desk inbox to ensure inquiries are followed up on within 2 business day
  • Ensure internal controls are followed throughout all processes and monitor processes for potential weaknesses
  • Lead the documentation and updating of accounting policies and procedures

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university with the ability to apply relevant U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and 6+ years of accounting experience.
  • Proven experience in managing a team for 3+ years with focus on team development, customer service and continuous improvement
  • Exceptionally strong communicator with the patience and persistence to effectively work with operations, accounting, and other finance departments
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capability with large team and customer base using Accounting Leadership principles
  • Able to evaluate current processes and make recommended process enhancements or improvements
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks and/or projects in a fast-paced environment at one time along with the ability to embrace change
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills in routine and complex tasks assigned in order to make significant contributions to critical projects and objectives of team
  • Provide a high degree of customer service to internal customers and the field offices and be cognizant of situations to be elevated to supervisor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to confidently, clearly and concisely communicate issues and suggested resolutions with management and internal audiences
  • Able to make decisions individually and be accountable for those decisions, but also knows when to involve management
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner
  • Conscientious and detail-oriented to produce accurate financial data with a sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Show tact, discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation
  • Strong aptitude for systems and technology that includes advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Word) and reporting systems (PeopleSoft and Yardi Property Management, preferred)


Target base compensation range of: $85,000-$100,000, plus target bonus to be discussed during initial phone interview.
