ACCOUNTING/FINANCE SUMMER INTERN

POSITION SUMMARY

Gibbs Die Casting Corporation (Gibbs) is looking for interns to join our finance team. Our finance group is hardworking, smart, goal-oriented and creative, and they are looking for and intern to train to participate in multiple levels of finance in the manufacturing environment. Candidates should expect to learn multiple facets of accounting in a manufacturing environment and will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge. This internship program is highly regarded in our field, so successful participation will be a great addition to your resume.

This is a 1st shift position (8am - 4pm), 40 hours per week, paying an hourly rate of $17.00, and does not include housing. Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition of employment. Gibbs will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

PROJECTS AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist with Financial Modeling
• Assist in Auditing Assets/Inventory
• Verify overhead Standards / Allocation Methods
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• At the conclusion of the internship, develop a PowerPoint presentation recapping intern experience and present to management team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Sophomore, Junior or Senior majoring in accounting.
• Abilities in MS Office with strong skills in Excel.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
