Position Overview

Our client services team is seeking an Account Specialist, Client Development to support a portfolio of strategic Technology clients. The Specialist will share in the daily responsibilities of maintaining client satisfaction and client engagement with NPD products. From basic data analysis, to creative approaches to growth and profitability, this position will help clients answer important business questions and find strategic direction. If you enjoy working with clients, and have a background or interest in data analysis, this position is for you. This integral team member will report to the Director, Client Development.

This position will be based in Port Washington, NY (when offices re-open).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Analytics & Insights :

  • Proficiently leverage the suite of NPD data assets to develop accurate insights and thorough analyses that help our clients grow their businesses.
  • Proactively seek out data trends.
  • Effectively and succinctly communicate findings to internal and external audiences, in written and verbal formats.

Client Service & Intelligence :
  • Provide day-to-day servicing support, while building authentic relationships with client contacts.
  • Routine account management, including data access rights, data support requests, platform trainings, and more.
  • Maintain a deep and thorough understanding of clients' business strategies and product portfolio
  • Track clients' business health, from earnings reports, press releases, financial statements
  • Translate learnings from client conversations into actionable opportunities for exploration
  • Contribute to team revenue and opportunity pipeline


Qualifications:
  • 3+ year(s) of experience, market research or client services background preferred
  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • Demonstrated critical thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills (in person and WebEx)
  • Highly detail oriented; committed to quality and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects against pressing deadlines
  • Ability to work well on a team, as well as independently
  • Expert in MS Office products (PowerPoint and Excel are a must)
  • Interest in the Technology industry
