Position Overview
This position is an Analyst within NPDs Connected Intelligence business which tracks ownership and use of connected devices including mobile, TV, wearables and home automation. Our analyses are used by wireless carriers, handset OEMs, movie studios, TV Networks, digital distributors, and device manufacturers to set priorities around their connected device, digital and app distribution strategies. We're looking for an analytic-minded individual with three or more years of consumer research or analyst experience, with strong quantitative data experience. This individual will support the practice area directors. The role provides a career path towards becoming an industry analyst.
This position is open to location in NPD's Port Washington office/work from home.
Responsibilities:
- Support maintenance of the existing syndicated report portfolio.
- Create PowerPoint reports from the consumer surveys, spotlighting key trends.
- Analyze data for reports for the senior team. Contributes short analyses, or components of analyses for existing reports.
Background/Competencies:
- 3+ years consumer research and/or analyst experience.
- Data analysis and/or report writing experience.
- Basic understanding of consumer data, including research methodology and survey design.
- Extremely detailed oriented.
- Experience managing custom research studies desired.
- Proficient in MS Office products. (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- BA/BS
