Position Overview

The Account Specialist supports the NPD Group's relationship with an assigned portfolio of foodservice manufacturer and operator clients. You will help to drive value within our accounts to ensure continued growth and profitability. This integral member of the Foodservice team will report to an Account Manager or Director, and will be based in downtown Chicago or Rosemont, IL.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day servicing support for our clients, assessing and addressing client business needs
  • Accurately interpret data and clearly articulate findings and insights to both internal and external audiences, in written and verbal formats
  • Conduct small group client trainings on NPD applications and methodology, both onsite and remotely
  • Contribute to team revenue and opportunity pipeline
  • Build industry expertise by monitoring, researching, and uncovering trends among consumers, retail CPG, and foodservice

  • 3+ years of experience in market research and/or consumer insights
  • BA/BS or equivalent. Market research, economics, statistics, or marketing background preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities against pressing deadlines; strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work well on a team as well as independently
  • Expert in MS Office products (Excel & PowerPoint are critical)
  • Up to 10% travel
